The United Nations

The most important thing that needs to be protected is home. Not just our own homes, but our big home. The huge home, where every single person was born in and lived in. The United Nations help these things to make the world a better place to live in.

In 1945, the Second World War had ended, and people didn’t want WWIII. So, the USA considered this to be a plan. They created the United Nations, with 51 countries around the world to create peace to the whole world, even in places that were such hostile in the time. It was a very helpful organization, and the huge wars with lots of countries fighting for peace abated. There were small wars, such as the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. It was a great focus for peace.

Today, now they make more than just peace. They try to solve physical problems that are happening in the world, such as climate change, and littering. They also work on securing countries that are at a problematic time. They try to promote democracy across the world for fair rules and free speech and religion. They have a bunch of things to do today, but they are starting to be solved.

There are many positions you can be on in the UN. There’s the General Assembly, where you can discuss plans about problems happening around the world. The Security Council helps keep the world secure and peaceful. They also give suggestions to the General Assembly about problems about security. The ECOSOC helps economic progress and helps people to their social needs. The Trusteeship Council helps on economic, social, and political problems around the world. The International Court of Justice solves court cases around the world if needed. Finally, The Secretariat helps every department get its needs.

The United Nations is one of the most helpful organizations of all time, from all the way to 1945, all the way to today. If you compare the difference to back then to now, we have more peace than it did in the 19th century. Now the world is a great place to live in now.
